Hello Everyone...
I watched this American Robin decide to sun itself on the deck railing. Slowly, its feathers were fluffing out farther and farther. Eventually, the American Robin had to take a dive into the bird bath to cool off. These photo's were taken in my back yard on July 22nd.

Hello Everyone...
The American Robin is 9 to 11 inches in length. It is recognized by its brick-red breast and dark gray back. The head and tail feathers of the male are blackish while the females are grayer. This bird is also the State Bird for Michigan.
This photo was taken on Mar 30th while walking at the Chippewa Nature Center. I'm sure you'll see more photo's of this bird throughout the summer.
