Hello Everyone...
This photo of a Brown Creeper was taken at the Chippewa Nature Center on May 3rd. This bird is very hard to spot as you can see it is well camouflaged.

Hello Everyone...
This photo of a Brown Creeper was taken on Apr 5th at the Chippewa Nature Center. This bird is fairly small, about 5 inches, and is a well-camouflaged tree climber. In this photo you can see its slender decurved bill.

Birds ~~ Brown Creeper
Hello Everyone...
While walking the trails at the Chippewa Nature Center, I heard a new bird call. I stopped, listened and looked around....and around....and around. The bird call came from the one tree, but I couldn't see any birds in the tree. All of the sudden a movement caught my eye. This is what I found, a Brown Creeper. This bird is fairly small, about 5 inches in size. It is a tree climber and has a slender decurved bill for getting insects from behind the bark. As you can see, it is well camouflaged. These photo's were taken on Mar 22nd.
