Hello Everyone...
I'm not totally pleased with this photo, but it was my first sighting of a Golden-Crowned Kinglet. These birds are small, about 3 to 4 inches in length. Kinglets are tiny olive-gray birds with two wing bars. They have a black cap and a yellow crown patch. The male has an additional red / orange crown patch surronded by the yellow patch. This photo is of a female Golden-Crowned Kinglet. This photo was taken on Apr 12th at the Chippewa Nature Center.
Enjoy!!
