Birds ~~ White-Breasted Nuthatch
Hello Everyone...
These photo's were taken on Apr 11th at the Old Mission Peninsula Township Park. The White-Breasted Nuthatch is 5 to 6 inches in length. They climb down trees head first. They have a black eye on a white face and the males have a black cap, the females have a gray cap. These two photo's are of a female.
In the first photo, she peeled the bark from that branch and took it back to the nest. The second photo shows the entrance to the nest. They enjoy bark insects, seeds, nuts and they are attracted to feeders with suet and sunflower seeds.

Birds ~~ White-Breasted Nuthatch
Hello Everyone...
After the Lizards & Snakes Alive exhibit, the field trip moved to the Dow Gardens. While walking through the Dow Gardens, I photographed this White-Breasted Nuthatch. The other photo's are taken on the grounds as we walked to the Butterfly House. I'll share the photo's of the butterflies tomorrow. These photo's were taken on Mar 17th.

Birds ~~ Red-Breasted Nuthatch
Hello Everyone...
While out at the Midland Cemetery today, I seen a couple of Red-Breasted Nuthatches. These birds are only about 4 inches in length and today they were in hyper-speed....hehe!! I'm not totally pleased with these photo's. Maybe I can get a better photo of this bird....someday!!
