Hello Everyone...
These photo's of a Common Tern were taken at the Chippewa Nature Center on May 20th. These birds are 13 to 16 inches in length. Terns are a graceful water bird and are a whitish bird with black caps. Normally they do not swim but hover and plunge beak first for fish. The Common Tern has a deeply forked tail. I'm not pleased with these photo's as it was on the other side of Dragonfly Marsh and my lens was maxed out. I hope to see this bird again, someday?
Enjoy!!
