Hello Everyone...
These photo's of a male Common Yellowthroat Warbler were taken at the Chippewa Nature Center on June 4th. These birds are 4 to 5 inches in length. The male has a black mask and yellow throat. The female is olive-brown with a rich yellow throat, buffy-yellow breast and no black mask. They are distinguished from similar warblers by a whitish belly, brownish side and their habitat. They enjoy swamps, marshes and wet thickets.
