Hello Everyone...
These photo's of a male Yellow-Rumped Warbler were taken at the Chippewa Nature Center on May 3rd. These birds are 5 to 6 inches in length and are recognized by the bright yellow rump. The male, during spring, is blue-gray above, heavy black breast patch (inverted U). It has a yellow patch on its crown and below each wing. The female, during spring, is brownish but with the same basic pattern.
